MADE IN PRAGUE FESTIVAL
Rich Text
30th Made in Prague Festival The 30th
Made in Prague Festival celebrates three decades of bringing
the best of Czech culture to audiences across the UK. This year’s film
programme spans the golden era of Czechoslovak cinema and the distinctive
voices shaping Czech filmmaking today, from a season of New
Wave classics at The Garden Cinema to the UK premiere of the newly restored Valerie and Her Week of Wonders
at BFI Southbank, and a selection of contemporary films.
Regent Street Cinema will host two brand new Czech
comedies. Little Thief
is a mischievous Czech Western set in South Moravia during the pandemic, while Changes, a Prague-set
comedy directed by David Ondříček, will serve as the Closing Gala of the
30th Made in Prague Festival. Ondříček’s Zátopek was a hit with
audiences at the 25th Made in Prague Festival, making his return to the
festival particularly fitting. The 30th Made in
Prague Festival (September – November 2026) is organised by the Czech Centre London.
