RECLAIM THE FRAME X INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY WEEKEND

This year marks 20 years since the inaugural Birds’ Eye View Film Festival, an initiative to celebrate marginalised voices in film. Now as Reclaim The Frame, the group works year round to champion women and marginalised film talent across the UK. We’re thrilled to partner with them host a weekender of screenings and discussion this International Women’s Day.

From Friday 7 th March through Sunday 9 th March, Reclaim The Frame will join us for a panel discussing the distribution gap for women in film, the London premiere screening of Lollipop + Q&A, and a preview screening of Santosh + Q&A.

Closing the Distribution Gap (Panel Discussion + Breakfast)

Bringing together leaders in the field of gender justice and film distribution, this panel will discuss the progress being made, and the challenges that remain - including how we can  bring more marginalised professionals into decision making roles and collectively eliminate the biases involved in what is perceived as ‘risk’ in this area, at what remains a challenging time across the film sector.

Ultimately, how can 2049 come sooner?

Sponsored by the Film Distributors’ Association and supported by University of Westminster and Film Hub London as part of Reclaim The Frame’s ‘Reclaim, Reframe, Rejoice’ Weekender.
