Staying safe and having peace of mind at Regent Street Cinema

Temporary Closure of Regent Street Cinema

Following the latest Government COVID guidelines announcement, we regret that we are having to temporarily close our doors from Thursday 5th November, until restrictions change.

We are incredibly grateful for all the support we have received since the cinema re-opened on 1st October.

We remain passionate about bringing you film and event cinema on the big screen, and we will continue to work behind the scenes to deliver the very best cinema experience in a safe environment.

We look forward to seeing you again when we reopen!

Additional safety measures in London

Regent Street Cinema continues to be a safe environment for a groups of up to 6 people to watch the best and latest independent and studio films. With new government guidelines in place across London from 17 October, we ask that no two households mix together at the cinema. Once you have collected your tickets and purchased food and drinks at the bar, we will ask you to head straight into the auditorium to your allocated and socially-distanced seats.

Social distancing

  • Please book online for a ticketless experience to reduce the need for contact with staff
  • No more than six people from the same household can book as a group
  • We are allocating unoccupied spaces around your seats and ensuring this is maintained during your visit
  • You will be required to wear a mask when not eating or drinking
  • Hand sanitising stations are available for customers throughout the venue
  • Show time intervals have been adjusted to ensure less queue times for our guests

Personal Hygiene

  • Hand sanitising stations are available upon entering the cinema, near the bathrooms and throughout the venue for guests to use.
  • Staff will wear masks at all times and we ask you to also wear masks unless you are eating or drinking.

  • We have allowed more time for cleaning between screenings.
  • We will continually sanitise high touch point areas around the venue.
  • Bathrooms will be continually sanitised throughout the day.

  • We are not accepting cash, but our limit for contactless payment has been increased to £45.
  • A self-service ticket machine is available at the entrance.
  • Food and drink orders are pre-packaged.
  • Our air conditioning system draws on fresh air and is not re-circulated.
  • Screens have been installed at the sales kiosk to protect guests and staff.
  • Our staff have been fully trained in keeping you safe and are at hand to help.

The health and well being of our customers and staff is of the upmost importance to us. We kindly ask you to follow the guidelines we have put in place to ensure everyone’s continued well being. Our staff are here to look after you and make your cinema visit as enjoyable as possible.

IMPORTANT: We are required by law to take your contact details and this information will be held for 21 days. If you book a ticket online, the information is automatically provided.

We ask that guests follow the guidelines we have established and follow the instructions of our staff, so that we can ensure the cinema experience remains safe for all. We will not assume any liability for failure to comply with our safety protocols.

Additional safety measures may be implemented by the Government, in which case we will notify our guests with any further updates at the time.
