Twelve Angry Men

Scroll down

On a swelteringly hot day Henry Fonda tries to persuade his 11 fellow jurors that there might just be reasonable doubt in the seemingly open and shut case before them. Confined to a single room, the film never fails to be less than riveting, thanks to a taught script and Lumet’s masterful direction.

Thoroughly engaging, there is nothing dated or corny in Reginald Rose’s intensely knowing screenplay and Lumet’s energetic direction.
