Tubby Hayes – A Man in a Hurry charts the life and times of professional jazz musician Edward Brian ‘Tubby’ Hayes who recorded some of the most iconic pieces of the 50s and 60s. Hayes’ pioneering energy at the fore front of British modern jazz with his DA haircuts, Cecil Gee suits, and straight-ahead music putting Soho at the heart of the British musical universe for a while.
