Jan Nemec Retrospective

Karel Roden as Němec’s alter ego opens the film with remarks on a life spent in pursuit of fame, glory and women, indicating the exhilarating ride the eternal rebel and lonely wolf will provide in a dramatisation of key moments from his life. These include the fateful 1968 Cannes Festival,  Prague with Soviet tanks, his move to the USA, meeting Ivanka Trump and securing a visa to return home to attend ‘the funeral of communism’. Incredibly rich and funny this is a settling of scores and a testament to Němec‘s joie de vivre.

Followed by a Q&A with dramaturg and producer Jakub Felcman

and a party with Czech beer and DJ Music
