This Myanmar-Czech co-production is a wonderful coming-of-age portrait of a young monk, Zawana, raised in a monastery in the Burmese countryside, and the relationship between him and his aging superior who rescued him from the streets.When the superior falls ill, the young monk is left to decide whether the spiritual path through life is the right one for him.
