The Cameraman

Scroll down

Buster Keaton stars as a hapless fool who attempts to become a motion picture cameraman in order to get closer to the woman he desires. In this film-within-a-film the hilarious compendium of deliberate cinematic errors climaxes with a monkey shooting the greatest newsreel of all time!

We’ll also be playing the 20-minute film One Week, in which a newly wedded couple attempts to build a house with a prefabricated kit, unaware that a rival sabotaged the kit’s component numbering.

A live soundtrack will accompany both films, played – on our original 1936 Compton Organ – by Donald Mackenzie.
