On an average day at mid-morning long-standing regulars and newcomers sidle up to the bar, sharing churros, fried pastries and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches under the relentless orders of Amparo, the owner of the bar. Life continues as normal until one of them leaves the premises and is shot in the middle of the deserted square. The group is stunned and only the street cleaner dares to go out to help the fallen man, promptly receiving a bullet himself…


A dark thriller horror comedy in Álex de la Iglesia’s unique style. A must with reminiscences of Luis Buñuel’s The Exterminating Angel.
