Sink or Swim + One Cambodian Family Please For My Pleasure

London Film Week

Sink or Swim

UK Preview Screening

A group of 40-something guys decide to form their local pool’s first ever synchronised swimming team – for men. Braving skepticism and ridicule and trained by a fallen champion trying to pull herself together, the group set out on an unlikely adventure. French director Gilles Lellouche made a splash at this year’s Cannes festival with a hugely entertaining and moving comedy about dreams that can come true even if we don’t dare believe in them.

The screening will be preceded by a short film:

One Cambodian Family Please For My Pleasure

Anna Martemucci | USA

1981: A lonely refugee from Czechoslovakia (Emily Mortimer) paints an all-too-appealing picture of her American life as she types a letter begging an organization to send a Cambodian refugee family so that she may help resettle them in the “dreamland” of her new hometown: Fargo, North Dakota.
