Literature teacher Manana (Ia Shugliashvili) has been married for 25 years and lives in a three-bedroom flat, an ordinary Georgian family living with three generations under one roof. All are shocked when on the evening of her 52nd birthday Manana announces that she wants to leave and live alone. Where is she going? She has what everyone would call a good husband (Merab Ninidze) who doesn’t even drink or beat her. But Manana sticks to her decision and does something unheard of in Georgia’s patriarchal society. Without her family and her husband, a journey into the unknown begins.
