London Spanish Film Festival

The number of victims of the Franco regime buried anonimously along the roads and in the fields of Spain is still uncertain, but it is well over a hundred twenty thousand. Among them are the remainings of Federico García Lorca, who has become the symbol for the recovery of the historical memory movement. Weiss, who has lived in Spain, explores in this film, not only testimonies of the war atrocities but also LGBT oppression during the fascist regime.

Followed by a Q&A with the director and Prof. Maria Delgado (Royal School of Speech and Drama) (tbc)
