OZ Film Festival

This year’s family film is Babe: Pig in the City, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2018.

We will be screening this feature with subtitles and audio description for an inclusive event.

Dismissed as a mere cash-in follow-up to the wildly popular international smash hit Babe (1995), this delightfully dark family romp has more than enough action and laughter to thrill kids of all ages.

Having produced and co-written its predecessor, visionary director George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) takes the reins for the sequel, thrusting everyone’s favourite sheep-pig into a fantastical, but unforgiving metropolis.

A box office disaster criticised at the time for being ‘too dark’ for kids, some have argued that this remains Miller’s finest film. A true family classic that is ripe for rediscovery on the big screen.

Australian snacks and lollies (sweets) will be on sale on the day – cash only – and each child will receive a bag of Australian picture books courtesy of Scholastic Children’s Books.

Screening in conjunction with the London Australian Film Society

The feature will be preceded by the short film A Boy Called Su (08:00), directed by Australian film student Vedrana Music (AFTRS).
