In a musical tale about standing together against materialism, two impoverished sisters anguish over whether or not to sell a painting, the final masterpiece by their recluse father.  This story, set in Intramuros, Philippines before World War II, tells of sisters Candida and Paula Marasigan, daughters of high-profile painter Don Lorenzo Marasigan whose lack of productivity has left the family in dire financial states. Unwed at 40, the sisters blame their father for their situation. But when he paints a final masterpiece, the offers begin to come in.
