Giovanna is an awkward twelve-year-old. She lives with her mother, Sabrina. Her father died years ago, but he is still the person she turns to in difficult moments, imagining him as the hero of a Japanese anime.

In this small-town world, governed by rigid, unwritten rules, Giovanna has only one ally: Mirko, bound to her for life by a blood oath. But when Mirko disappears and the adults' explanations become increasingly vague, Giovanna makes up her mind: she will find him herself, whatever it takes.

By her side is Ludovica, who has been held back a number of times and is nicknamed "The Hammer", along with her gang of bullies. An unlikely group of companions, they will form an unexpected friendship with Giovanna and face a truth none of them could ever have imagined.
PT1H45M182026-11-22ITit
