Liz Mitchell (MBE) is simply the most famous member of the disco band BONEY M., a British singer who Frank Farian (renowned record producer and flounder of the band) once said “All members could be replaced, except Liz”. BONEY M. has sold over 150 million records worldwide, including more than 60 million albums and their songs are enduring to this day, including the global hits, Daddy Cool (1976), Ma Baker (1977), Rivers of Babylon (1978) and Rasputin (1978).
On the 21st of May, the Regent Street Cinema will host an interview with Liz to hear her amazing story of life in the music industry, how she is continuing to entertain audiences with her unique singing voice and her charity work, including her connection with the Windrush community. The interview will be preceded by a short film featuring the music videos of Boney M. Liz will be talking with Professor Mykaell Riley from the University of Westminster and founder member of the British roots Reggae band Steel Pulse.
